Material Determination

Material determination is for triggering a material replacement in a line item for a Sales Order. Once you have created a material determinant procedure, its needed to be assigned to a sales doc type. Need to know why you have should have a single Material detenmination procedure assigned to all the sales document type? Some experiences if can be shared in supporting the idea will be appreciated

Dear Rajat,

I hope I understud properly....

The single material determination procedure may be using for all order types.

You can use different material determination procedures for different document types.(I.e Material determination based on document type)

Hi,

Material determination happens at order level.It means material has to be substitued at order level. according to the business process and client requirment u can assign material determination procedure to the sales document typed. In which business process material has to be substitued according to that u need to assing material determination procedure to the document type.
