Number Ranges

Can Number ranges be transferred from one client to another? if so, how?

Hi,

yes number ranges can be transported.

we transport number ranges , when doing at the first time. means implementation.

say example for the sales document type or . we created a number ranges 100 -200.

if you end up with the above number ranges then in support we have to give the new number ranges say 201 - 400.

now if you transport , the remaining number ranges will get transported to production. say the delivery and the billing document.

so if you see in number ranges transaction XDN1, we have a filed called current number which say the present document number. this will also get changes when we transport from quality to production.

I do not think that can be done. You will have to create them separately n each client.
