Modiying an IDoc in ECC

I have a MM that maps DEBMDM06 to DEBMAS06. I modified the external definitions to hold a field named ZZPRINT under E1KNVVM. All is good except that when the IDoc goes to ED1 130 ZZPRINT is not there. In ED1 I used Tcode we60 to view the HTML format for DEBMAS06. Under E1KNVVM, ZZPRINT is not there. Any ideas on how I can add this?

Hi

what i understand from your question is that , a particular element is not present in your IDoc, so you would like to add it.

To add the element to the existing idoc you need to modify the segment.

To add segments and elements, it is done in transaction WE31. there you can add the field.

Note: you cannot modify an existing standard idoc. so you need to create a copy of it by goin to transaction WE30 and create a new idoc as a copy of your DEBMAS06 and go to WE31 and add your Zfield to your required segment.
