When i m using MB1C then i m facing this problem "*_Period 004/2008 is not open for account type S and G/L 999901"*_
pls solve it

First check Transaction Variants in Trans. Code OMSY, then go to OB52.....
This will solve ur problem.....

before going to ob52, pl go to OBBP, there maintain the variant for ur company code 0001/1000
then go to OB52, and change the 2nd and 4th column to 2008 in the respective row

Hello,
this needs to be done very carefully. First you check your posting period variant. That can be seen in SPRO -> Financial Accounting --> Global settings --> Company code, select your company code and see the details, you can find the posting period for the same.
Then go to SPRO --> FI --> Fiancial accounting Global settings --> document --> Posting period --> Maintain posting periods. There you can see the posting periods maintianed for the variant. See the posting period with S. change the year to 2008 and accordingly.

Take the help of FI guy to open the periods.
If you have authorisation for Tcode-OB52 ,you can also open ; closed periods in Tcode-OB52.
OB52>Search for the correct company code in VARIANT field >now select Acoount type-"S">Now enter 12 in TO PERIOD(7th coloumn) & in YEAR(8th coloumn) enter 2008 .
Save.
Now try MB1C.
