Hi Gurus,
I have installed SAP ECC6 on a server and portalXIBI on another server. I wish to know few things:
1) If i create my web dynpro application in 1st server then how can i execute this in portal on another server. Right now when i create Web dynpro programs i get URL as http://<1st server hostname>:<port>/. Do i have to change some values in Tcode RZ10 in 1st server. ALso do i have to make some changes in hosts file on 1st server ?
2) How i will configure my SLD (system landscape directory) on both system. I have to work on ESS/MSS. My employee data is stored on 1st server and i want to display his/her data on portal in 2nd server.
3) My SAP XI system in installed on 2nd server. How my this system's SLD will be configured to portal. Please provide me the steps which i should do to check if my SAP XI system is configured correctly. I will be very greatful if anyone can provide me the steps to perform above tasks.
Regards
Ajay
Hi
You donot have to do any changes at the Webdynpro system 1. But what you have to do is to configure it in the System 2 which is the portal application system. There are few links that are available excatly for this thing:
Regarding your SLD configuration for ESS/MSS
These are also good link for your ESS/MSS Business packages

For XI check this link

Hello Ajay,

Your webdynpro code is not server dependent, if you transport your changes to another server you will get the url for the other server.
>2) How i will configure my SLD (system landscape directory) on both system. I have to work on ESS/MSS. My employee data is stored on 1st server and i want to display his/her data on portal in 2nd server.
SLD or system landscape directory has nothing to do with your employee data, its simply a catalog of all your systems in your landscape in a common format.
Check this link to understand more about SLD:

Check this link to work with the SLD

To connect yoru SLD to different systems, check this link:

Also, If you have configured your XI as per the XI master configuration guide available on http://service.sap.com/instguides, everything should be okay.
If you need more information on XI configuration, try searching in the SDN blogs, you are sure to find something or the other.

Siddhesh
