SM50 show numerous semaphore messages

Hi,

Under high load, from transaction u201CSM50u201D, our R3 system will show numerous semaphore messages. (Red). For a moment or two, all DIA process will be occupied with semaphore messages. E.g. 7 or 33.

May I know are all these semaphore harmful and what are the causes of all these semaphore?

When the user is accessing the same data available in the buffers these semaphores occurs.

Hi

It depends u have to make sure with the developers on the objects that are accessing.

This leads to decrease the performance of the system.

To my knowledge it is not harmful.

Note: Make a note of the objects that are occuring under the semaphores and ask ur ABAP to analyze.
