MII Logging in Netweaver Log

Hello,

within the SAP Netweaver Log we get lots of logging data from MII. Even Information at the debug level is captured (begin and end of sequences, begin and end of actions). Where can we specify the log level? Somewhere in MII or inside Netweaver?

Kind Regards,

Matthias

Have you looked in Visual Admin?

Hello,

thanks for your input. We've found the possibility to configure the log level inside the Netweaver Administration:

SAP NetWeaver Administrator > System Management > Configuration > Log Configuration.

Select "Tracing Locations", select ROOT LOCATION > sap > xmii

Thanks,

Matthias

Hi again,

the log level can be specified seperately for "illuminator" and "xacute". Whats the difference and what is executed where? If I use the Event logger action inside a transaction, where will the specified message be logged?

Thanks,

Matthias

Of those two the Xacute side would be relevant for Runner activity, which would be from a BLS TRX. The Illuminator side would be on the data server query side and in general all other non-BLS (xacute) type log activity.
