Is that reasonable to assign one plant to 2 different company codes?
No you can assign multiple sales organizations and multiple plants to one company code but not vice versa.
thanks

Hi R N,
Normally it is not advisable to allocate a single plant to multiple company codes . some issues like material valuation,
Stock ownership prove to be very difficult.
also since company codes are seperate legal entities , the above points beome more relevant.
for intercompany sales , plant of another company code (eg company code 2) can be assigned to sales organisation of company code .
If this hlps , Please reward with points

Hi R.N,
As per the standard
You can't assign single plant to two different company codes
But you can assign meny plants to one company code.
The relation betweem plant to company code is meny to one not one to meny
I hop eit will help you,

Murali.

HI,
No, as per SAP standared it is not permittable..
You can assign one company code plant to other company code sales organization and districhannel..but not directly to the company code...
Because each company code is separate legal entity..
