Crystal Reports 2008 'Out of Memory' error

Former Member

I just installed CR 2008 and am getting an 'out of memory' error when I hit 'page setup'. After clicking 'okay' on the error, it opens the page setup screen, but attempting to change anything brings up an 'an invalid argument was encountered' error.

Task manager says that I have plenty of memory, and everything else seems to work fine. (Although obviously I haven't gotten very far.)

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

If you are installing on a Windows 2003 Server SP2 make sure you have your DEP turned off.

See the following [link|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352] on how to turn it off:

Thanks, I gave that a shot, but it didn't change anything.

Did you get the 'out of memory' resolved ? I am having the same problem.

Yes. I deleted all the printers in my 'printers and faxes' folder in the computers' Control Panel. It worked so I added the printer I use, and it still works.
