Hi all,
We are experiencing PI archive timeout while running queries from xMII at the same time that we access the archive from OSI PI Process Book.
We are running xMII 12.0.2 (Build 88) with UDS [Admin Console version:4.2.7 Framework version: 4.0.3.10 and host version: 4.0.3.10]
1 ) If we access the archive without performing any query we don't get errors.
2 ) If we access the archive and we start a query a second later PI hang until an error comes in xMII and then PI start working again.
3 ) If we run the xMII Query without accessing the archive from PI, the query deliver the proper results (we are also experiencing terrible performance)
The Errors:
In PI:
Time= 7/9/2008 1:46:36 PM
Source= piarcmgr
Message= T:2724 PT(ptid=2088, recno=1691, loc=5, flag=4): ptwait tick/timeout=27312/270000, RIDILLL|LC||LI|NAL=0|2|4|0|251 Lock[254] .uc=1 QL.sc/tid=0/2724 threads=2,0,0
In xMII:
OLEDB Query error [com.sap.xmii.Illuminator.logging.LHException: Error found. OLEDB Error Record #(0x1):[source=PIOLEDB] [error = [PISDK] The target server database failed to load. [-10722] PINET: Timeout on PI RPC or System Call.] Error was spawn by -- File:\Query.cpp Line:89 Function:COleDbQuery::ExecuteOleDbModule.]
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
For PI you use UDSFramework_2_5_0_4 .This is not directly bound to an MII version.You can use this for 11.5 and 12.x.
Also make sure that the browsing mode is set to true in the OPC Server.Else tag queries wont work.
Thanks,
Manisha
