RIM Blackberry server

Hello

I have read the minimun requirement to run MSOn, one of this is to have the RIM Blackberry Enterprise Server in the landscape, but I don´t understand what is the purpose of it yet, also I would like to understand if the services provided by that Server should be provide for a Telco company instead to get or buy such server, i dont know what is common or useful!

Could you be kindly to provide a brief explanation to get better understanding of that solution?

or provide me a chart with the total landscape

The communication happens like this. Not able to paste a image so instead iam typing them.

CRM Backend<->SAP WEB AS<->Blacberry MDS<-->Firewall-Ser Prov--BBDev

(SAP Backend) | (SAP WEBAS with Webdynpro Runtime) | (RIM Blacberry Enterprise server) | (T-Mobile or other wireless network providers)

Those are the various blocks involved in communiation.

Hope it gives some idea.
