We have just upgraded our SRM-MDM catalog to SP6 version 5.5.62.58.

Now I have problem when I want to submit the entry in the shopping basked to SRM via OCI.

The following message:

500 Internal Server Error SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.00/Java AS 7.00

Failed to process request. Please contact your system administrator.

Root Cause

The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:

java.lang.NullPointerException

at at com.sap.mdm.ws.queryengine.Model.generateOCIForm(Model.java:7550)

at at com.sap.mdm.srmcat.uisearch.OCI.generateOCIForm(OCI.java:280)

at at com.sap.mdm.srmcat.uisearch.wdp.InternalOCI.generateOCIForm(InternalOCI.java:155)

at at com.sap.mdm.srmcat.uisearch.OCIInterface.generateOCIForm(OCIInterface.java:115)

at at com.sap.mdm.srmcat.uisearch.wdp.InternalOCIInterface.generateOCIForm(InternalOCIInterface.java:134)

Can someone help me to interpret this message?

During upgrade the name of the repository was changed by the system-administrator.

Hi,

The SRM-MDM Catalog is based on SAP MDM.

You should find the corresponding SAP MDM version to the SRM-MDM Catalog version you are using or vice versa.

Please check SAP Note: on service Market Place.

Note 1083126 - Version mapping SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 to SAP MDM 5.5

Hi,

from your first sentence I understand that you only upgraded MDM. Did you also upgrade all the GUI components for the Web Application Server?
