Is there a possibility to change the position of the message container?
I would like to have the container bottom.

The MessageArea UI element IS standard..all you have to do is to add it to the layout at the bottom. Your messages will appear there.
That's it.
If I'm right you can find it inside the Patterns category (not in the system now).

No.
You can define a message area UI element and place it anywhere. Your messages would then be displayed in the area.
