Resource Planing requirements

Hello,

I am wondering how to use the resource planing in cProjects. Is it necessary to use the workforce deployment service?

I can see my resources that i connected to wfd but none without this connection and i would prefer to not use the wfd.

Hi,

If you want to use your resources you can create Business Partners and use them in the cProjects system, or transfer them via ALE to the system.

Hi,

You can do the resource planning in cProject by creating BP and there Qualification data or import it from HR through ALE or standard report.

You can search resources based on there qualification and availability. If you are using WFD server then you will get resource search data in detail and more specific to your requirement. Without WFD you will get data in general.

You can plan project by assigning them over project or soft booking them. You will get Planned cost by using Cost revenue rate of the resources.
