About printer setting

Hi,

Is it possible to use same Print output device & Page format for both SAPscript and smartforms?

i used dot matrix printer for smarform it works fine.

Hi sudhir,

The corresponding spooler number have the datas with proper alignments. After printing only it happens.

I used print sheet as a PLY paper.Is it printer settings problems or smartform problems? Can you explain to me briefly if is it possible....

hi

i used A8 size paper for printing. and layout is set accordingly in smartform.

i guess in your case check your printer settings.

Here i sent my printer setting details in SPAD

1)Device type : SAPWIN SAPWIN :Rel.4.x/SAPlpd 4.09+ONLY!

2)Spool server:sapsvr01_D01_00

3)Device class:Standard printer

4)Model:Tally Printer T2250

5)Location:2nd Tally printer, Sales & Marketing

6)Host Spool Access Method S S: Print Using SAP Protocol

7)Host printer : ptr106

8)Destination host: oa-10

9)SAP cover page language :EN

10)Host spool cover page: Do not print host spooler cover page

11)Pass Copy Counter to Host Spool :System

12)Print mode : DEFAULT: Printer default settin

13)Paper tray : Default tray

14) Page Format: INCH11

And we enabled two check boxes also

15) TRAY 1 in TRAY info

16) Process requests sequentialy in output attributes

is i need to change anything in above details....

are you using same smart styles as used with script?

try printing on different printer also.

your printing settings are almost correct.

Hi Sudhir,

Yes,i used smart style as same as sapscript style.Im able to print in other print device(HP Laser with A4 Sheet).... but endusers want the device as dot matrix with PLY paper...Is their any other way to solve this problem?

Hai Sudhir,

In smartform level,I passed the data using table node with loop in MAIN window.But for the alignment purpose(Vertical & horizontal lines), I created one secondary window as same as main window height & width and i used template for alignment purpose in this window.May be is this one will affect ? But the spooler number print view have the proper alignments with datas..

In my case end user also wanted to use dot matrix. So i developed new smartform insted of converting SAP script. & its working fine on EPSON dot matrix printer.

as i will get more information surely will tell you.

There is no such restrictions for Print output device & Page format for both SAPscript and smartforms

but in one case i dont know whether we can use dot matrix printer for Smartforms..

same page format can be used for both...

but normally dot matrix printers are used for SAP Script

and

InkJet printers are used for Smartform

But I have some problems...Previously I used sapscript form..its able to print properly in same device(dot matrix)...As per some new requirement, we implemented smartforms with same alignment..and also we used same printer settings & page formatr as per previous..Its able to print record detials only..unable to print boxes,vertical & horizontal lines...
