regarding Monitoring Service for Solution manager

We need to configure "Monitoring" services in SAP solution manager 7.0.

Could somebody suggest us what are the main tasks we need to consider for doing Monitoring settings.

How many Minimum servers required to configure Monitoring services in solution manager system.

Also if any good document reference for this?

I could not open your tutor link. Does it need any Flash media player?

Btw, we are collecting Main tasks possible to test locally for monitoring unders solution manager. After reading several documents and guide, got confused.

1) Just want to know what are the main task to be considered for Monitoring in Solution manager.

2)How to achieve it, any good configuration guide exists to follow? please suggest us.

It requires, SAP SID to download.

To open that you require SAP Tutor Player.

your Reference document/tutor added more input to us.

Do you have idea of what are the things we needs to be prepared in planning phase.

I have few questions unanswered to myself.

1) for example, we need minimum 1ECC server and 1CRM server and Customer number for input in Solution manager. Any other things need to added here?

2)Customer number is mandatory for this monitoring setting?

3) for Business process monitoring, CRM is must or we can take ECC(tr-cd VA01) for sample testing. Can i follow the same tutor using ECC system instead CRM system?

Could you give your suggestions.

You can take whatever back-end system you like for Business Process Monitoring. Technical prerequisites for BPMon are described in SAP notes 784752 & 521820.
