Integration between SD and APO

Can someone give me the integration points between SD and APO?

Hi,

APO is Advanced Planner and Optimizer module, SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer is a component of the mySAP Supply Chain Management solution that you use for planning and optimizing supply chain processes at a strategic, tactical, and operational planning level

There is some links when dooing availability check with ATP.

You can transfer Customizing data from a central R/3 system (such as the sales system) using the APO Core Interface, or you can create the data manually in SAP APO.ATP check in SAP APO. You maintain the check after the Customizing and master data have been transferred from the sales system to the SAP APO system
