error in purchase order's acct assmt category

Dear Experts,

i am facing a problem in purchase order. purchase order automatically picks the account assignment categoy Q(projects make to order) but i want network acct assgmt and activity nos.. when i am changing this error is coming that " item initiated by other application(acct assgt. category can not be changed)"

please advise me solution. its urgent.....

Hello,

There would be a PR linked to PO. First change the account assignment category in PR and change in PO. I think your problem get resolved.

in PR acct assgmt category option is not editable. so what should i do??

Hi,

Acct assignment cat. depends on the setting made in transaction 'OPTT'.

For third party PR for WBS Element, by default system proposes 'Q' only in valuated stock scenario.

Hi Lallan,

How is the PR created? I mean arent you attaching a material to a netwrok activity & creating a PR from there. If you are doing by this way the account assignment should be the network activity. Can you pl clarify how you are creating the PR?

i am creating PR thru network. in n/w internal activity assigning material component. i am taking item category L and it is third party order...
