Regarding MaxDB

Hi Folks,

I tried installing ABAP Trial Version locally, First time it took around 45 mins to install and at the end setup has completed with the errors. After referring the help document i come to know that it needs Loop Back Adapter for stand alone machine, hence I configured the same by following the steps mentioned in the document. But now when i am trying to install the setup finishes within 2 mins and i observed that it is not installing maxdb server.

Can any one please guide me regarding the same.

Hi,

please try to uninstall the failed installation first.

The installation program tries to install the trial version every time with the SID "NSP". So if it detects that this SID is already used it will abort.

To uninstall the version please follow the steps given in the first part of the following document --> link to the steps

Also please check your services-file that there aren't any entries like "NSP" are left.

Hi,

You must delete the folder -> C:\SAP also you need to run RegCleanTool within SAPNW7.0ABAPTrialSP12 folder.

Deleting the following entry has solved the issue.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Install Shield\Universal\SAP
