easydms read checked out file

hi together,

i am currently looking for a way to allow users, open files(for viewing) which are checked out(for editing) by an other user!

is there a way in sap-standard, or must this be programmed in easydms ?

i dont understand why this doesnt work actually in standard, but it always brings the message:

"File filename 1.doc couldnot be accessed."

when i try to view a checked out file for editing from an other user!

if files are checkout out by other user - plz make sure that the status is not locked so that easydms can open the files for viewing.

Hi Harald,

watever configurations u do in standard DMS wil be fetched by easyDMS,

for viewing/editing of files attached in DMS u need to configure in standard DMS under DC30,

I would recommend you to use the parameter %AUTO% for application types 1-3 for the used frontend type.

PC TXT 1 Text %auto%

PC TXT 2 Text %auto%

PC TXT 3 Text %auto%

Further please check if you have maintained the following values for the workstation application:

WS application TXT

DescriptionTextfiles

Archive identificatio *

File suffix for appl. txt

File format *.txt

MIME type plain/text
