Dear All,

After selecting the central system from the installation screen --> next, I'm getting the below mentioned error. It is clearly mentioned in the error about library files but I'm unable to identify from where to load(i.e is it related to Operating System library files or any other dependencies ).

please go through any suggest me as early as possible.

Regards,

Sumanth

Hi Sumanth,

Please follow the below steps to resolve:

1. create a new temporary-directory

2. change into the new directory

3. run:

<cd_path>/----

/sapinst -extract( you need to make sure that you have followed correct path to sapinst

4. Copy the file back to the /tmp/sapinst_exe.4953.1215434758 directory from the new temp sapinst directory.

5. Restart 'sapinst' by 'retry'.

Please note if you already stopped 'sapinst', it's necessary to restart it and choose the option 'continue old installation'.

And also set the environment variable of temp directory to new temp directory.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks

Kishore

i met the same problem and i tried the methods provided by you. however it did not work.

after i copied the extracted files from a totally new staging area to the related install_exe directory, and re-start the sapinst, no matter you choose to continue or make a new install, sap would use another totally different new install_exe directory. so it would still have the same problem.

Hi Chen,

Not only is your Operating System not supported but also the 32 bit architecture is not supported from NW7 SR3.

See service.sap.com/pam for supported Operating Systems, Databases etc

hi sumanth,

mkdir /tmp/temp_extract

cd /tmp/temp_extract

login in as <sid>adm user

<PATH_TO_YOUR_INSTALLATION_CD>/sapinst -extract

and now copy all the files from this temp_extract to the directory /tmp/sapinst_exe.4953.1215434758

Hello,

Please try the following:

Go to /tmp/sapinst_exe.4953.1215434758/

and run the command: /DVD_MASTER_PATH/sapinst -extract

Then run sapinst again.

Best regards,

Olivier

Operating System - Distribution - Service Pack Level

Processor Architecture - x86_64,IA64,...

Thanks,
