NWDI cleanup

Former Member

Hi Fellow NWDIers:

Our NWDI installation is eating up disk space rapidly. We are operating on Unix AIX and we keep filling up the disk space. We attempted to remove some of the archives and this caused us issues with the XI tracks and we had to restore the archives.

Does anyone know what files (objects) can be safely removed to free disk space? Is there a clean-up program that we need to kick off?

Thanks

Dee

Hi,

Have you checked the log folder of the j2ee engine? Normally this is very huge (if archiving is on). This is one of the first things i check if disk space gets lower. Also look for old SPs and remove the ones you don't need for development.

Thanks Daniel:

Yes, we have looked at the logs and SP and removed all the old stuff. We have a 2 day retention on the log files.

The system ate up over 6 GB over the weekend, and this is with no one working! Any clue as to what is chomping away at the disk?

Thanks

Have you checked the growth of the database (transaction logs and so on)? Is there only NWDI running on the J2EE engine?

Hi

The database looks good with plenty of free space. The java also runs Sol Man. We split the lpar to monitor the two file systems separately.

Thanks

6GB in two days? And it don't depends on logs or database? Very strange. Which folders are the largest on the fs?

Daniel
