OS user password in SQL installation...

Hi Everyone,

Iam Installing SAP ECC 6 with SQL 2005 Database in Distributed System method. le., One server for Application, another server for Database.Both the systems are in Workgroup.

I completed the 1st step, Global host preparation step in the Application Server(Specified SID & req. data)

Now, i got stuck in the 2nd step, "Database Instance"

i specified alll the necessary info.but in 'Passwork check' status,

whatever password i give, i doesnt take it.i gave even Local OS admin Password also.

What password i have to give here. please help me to proceed my Installation

Hi,

first one is password for <sid>adm user (ie. devadm) and second for SAPService<SID> (i.e. SAPServiceDEV).

Sorry i dont understand, what password i have to give. while creating SID in the Application server(host name:CLUSTER), it asked me Master password for SAP user. i gave it & confiremed the password.

WHen i come to DB server(Host name:DATABASE) it is asking 4 OS user password. whatever i give it doesn't take it. It says "input error" Password Invalid.

i have even reinstalled the DB once.

PLz help me

both the servers are in WORKGROUP only. is it ok installing ECC 6 in Distributed system method? or i need to a Domain User and Group?

PLz Provide me with the Information
