SAPBACKUP with a new user

Hi Gurus,

We are using the brtools for the backup.Currently the backup will be

taken by the Admin user and <SID>adm user.But we need to take a backup

in the username backupuser.That user doesn't have administration

functions.

Kindly advise us and provide the solution.

Hi Kartik,

If there is an security concern for not taking the backup through the SIDadm user then, you can schedule the backup in DB13. After that there is no need to get login to the system from the os level. You only need to change the media as per your cycle.

Still if you have to use backupuser then you have to give the security rights for executing & accessing the files to this user. Aslo you need to maintain Environment varaibles as per the SIDadm user.
