Hi Gurus

Do we need to have a separate client for setting up SUS .Currently we are setting up Extended classic and strategic souring , and we need to set up supllier self service as well.

So I need to know whether we need a separate client for SUS

why do we need it

Can it be created withing the development enviroment for example , if strategic sourcing is set up as SRMCLT100 cam we set up SUS as SRMCLT200 withing the same box ?

will award points for respones

seperate client is required for SUS --> for the following reasons.

1) Supplier system is different from the purchase system..

2) for security reasons.

3) Message (document flow ) happens from one system ) to another

following possibilities are there for SUS client

1) EBP and SUS can be installed on the same client ( but not recommened by SAP ) for productive use

2) EBP and SUS clients on different servers.

3) EBP and SUS clients on same server.

it is possible to have what you have mentioned

EBP as SRMCLT100 and SUS as SRMCLT200..

Hi Khan

Thank you for your response it is very helpful, if we have EBP and SUS in one server , how will the server perfomance be affected ?

as far as i know -> there should not be any performance issues..

But everything depends on your system landscape and

the number of suppliers (documents) involved in your system.

I have configured the scenarion --> two different clients on the same server...

not encountered any performance issues till now.

anyway in SUS if you end up with performance problems , there is possibility of archiving.
