what is the use of cost componenet structure ...is there any use of this in Network Costing ...?

hi rama

cost component structure belongs product costing, it is done by co consultant, cost component structure is nothing but how the cost is going one particular product.

for suppose for one product;

raw material cost

labour oh

material oh

other oh

like this u have total cost into different components that is called cost component structure. it is totally done by co consultant. let me know if u need any info

What do you mean by cost componenet structutre? Do you refer the hierarchical cost planning (CJ30 ) or unit costing (Using ECP)?

In the above case cost is planned manually and done on the hierarchically.

Network costing is done automatically according to the Material and the labour from the activities.

however its is possible to plan network costs manually using ECP from ECC 6.0 Ehp 3.
