Partner function IP in Backend sytem not selected

Dear Guru's

We are currently on SRM4.0 SRMSERVER5.0 and running classic scenario.

When we create a PO in backend from a SC the only partner aselected is VN.

When we create a PO for the same vendor directly in BACKEND the other parner functions are selected as well, like the IP.

ANy ideas why this is happening?

Hi. The only genuine cause for the IP not attaching is if the vendor does not exist in the company code of the PO.

If the vendor does exist, I would ask SAP on a customer message, there is bound to be a note or something for BAPI_PO_CREATE1 or similar.

If I create the PO directly in the backend (ECC5.0) the partner functions e.g. IP are "copied" into the PO.

If done from SRM 4.0 (Server5.0) the only partner function "copied" to the PO is th VN function.

So I wonderer if this is standard behavieur or if there is a bug in out setup?

I can not see a "Invoice Party" in SRM

Hi. It is normal to get all the same partners as you do manually.

Ask SAP if they can help you, the problem could lie in SRM, or it could be a problem with the PO create BAPI.
