sales order type - display criteria field

Hi friends,

In transaction VOV8, sales order type, there is a field "display criteria".

Help associated for this file indicates "that the system displays only main items and that it suppresses those items that are dependent on others. In this case, you can still enter dependent items in the document. However, the system does not display them."

Please give an example as to what this field does in sales order.

Hi Robert,

With this field setting in VOV8, if you choose:

1. UALL or UMAR, all sales BOM items appear on the sales order.

2. If you choose, UHAU, only the top material of the sales BOM appears

Please test with BOM material & you will able to see the system behavior according to your setting.

If system behave different than expected, you may log a message to SAP for our investigation.

If you select UALL as display criteria, system would display all items in the sales order.

For e.g. takes a material which has free goods record associated with it.

When you create sales order, system displays both main item and free goods item in sales order.

If you select UHAU as display criteria, system would display only main item in the sales order.

For e.g. takes a material which has free goods record associated with it.

When you create sales order, system displays only main item. It does not display free goods item in the sales order. It determines free goods but does not display the item.
