Service desk -- Triggering mail alert when message is created

Hi all,

In service desk, We configured the mail alerts If the status is changed for the messages in solman it will trigger a mail to message creatotr as well as the processor and also its working fine for changing the each status.

Now my question is that is it possible to send a mail alert to HOD when message is created in satellite system as well as in solman system by using notif_create.

Hi,

It can be done but Z development is required for that.

Ask your ABAPer to create z table in solman and maintain location of user and corresponding mail id of HOD in that.

Whenever message is created in satellite system it will fall in solman. Then execute program written for that. This would trigger mail to corresponding HOD according to the location maintained for user in SU01 under building field.
