Authorization in SO

The scenario is that while creating the SO, the Sales person should not be able to enter the Payment Terms, the finance guy should enter....which way to go...incompletion log will not work i suppose..

through authorization...or transaction variant?

please tell the procedure.

Hi,

As per SAP standard, Payment terms will copied from customer master data. So when u maintain payment terms in customer master data then automatically that payment terms will be copied to sales order....

If u want to change u can change payment terms manually in sales order also...

If u dont want to change payment terms field then please check with Basis team for athoriation for payment terms...

Dear Nitesh

In fact there is no need to enter the Payment terms manually in sale order. If it is maintained in customer master, automatically when you create sale order, it will fetch from the sold to party.

Through authorization, you can control the Transaction code for a particular user id, but not a particular field. Since your requirement is that the sales person should not enter / change this, you can go for transaction variant.
