import jdk 1.5 compiler in Eclispse 2.09?????

hi all,

though i have imported the jdk 1.5 jre in the eclipse still it shows error if i use jdk 1.5 fuctionalities...can any one tell why is it so.......please give me some suggestions.....

hi sundar,

the thing is there is no room to import jdk1.5 in eclipse 2.09 version.....go to window->preferences->java->compiler and try to choose compiler version..there will not be 1.5 in it......so though you import the jre the compiler does not support...you can overcome it by using eclipse 3.1 or older versions....
