Blocking Stock Upon Reaching Expiration Date

Hi QM Gurus,

I have one scenario, my client wants to post the materials which have reached their expiration dates automatically to blocked stock. How shall that set-up be?

Second scenario, I have a question, if certain material specifically raw material with batch has been reserved for example upon production order creation for instance onJune 10, 2008, however, the release of that production order is done by June 15, 2008, however, the expiration date of that is June 13, 2008. How could the client be prompted that certain batch should not be carried out upon release because its already expired. Can anybody help me on this scenario. Thanks a lot.
