Variant Item Cat & Requirements transfer issue

Hello Gurus,

Plz help out with these.

1) When i create a material with KMAT (configurable matl), what should be the Item Category?

2) After the creation of a Sales Order, requirements are not getting transfered? What are the required conditions for that to happen?

Hi,

Item categorie is TAC if u take configurable material but requirments depends upon the requirment class and requirment type what u take. u have to assign requirment type to requirment class. and moreover this is all depends upon Strategy group what u have taken in MRP3. if you do all thease setting the requirments will pass u can check at MD04 Stock requirment list.

The Item category used for Varient configuration is TAC.
