Monitoring of RFC Connections

Hi Folks,

is there any option to monitor a TCP/IP RFC connection.

I need something like a heartbeat on a registered program connection.

Something like GRMG for http, just working for RFC.

Is there any standard way to do this or do I need to use OS level tools?

I am looking for an automatic monitoring like RZ20.

There should be something like a ping to the RFC destination and in case the connection doesn't work anymore an email should be dispatched to me.
