Please provide more details like which IDOC type and message type are you using.

The Idoc which we are using is matmas.matmas05
Go to WE19 transactuion.
GIve the failed IDOC Number and
Click on the inbound function module button.
Chose the option In Fore Ground.
and press enter.
You would get a Screen by Screen approach of creating the material using your IDOC.
It will stop at the error.
YOu can find what is missing .
