What is the 'Pricing Field' ("X") Relevance in Item Category Properties?

Hi,

I created a Material with Item Category Group as NORM

and Item category as ZLTN (copy of TAN).

And i also maintained Price for that Material.

But i have Given 'No Pricing' in Item Category Details.

Still it is picking pricing.

I would like to know what is the relevance of Pricing field in Item category Details.

What will happen if we put 'No pricing' or 'Pricing Standard'

Hi

The F1 help says that - Indicates whether the system automatically carries out pricing at the item level.

While carrying out pricing at item level in the sales order - the system checks the conditions types one by one in the sequence specified in the pricing procedure. When the system tries to access the PR00 condition records, the REQUIREMENT (2) has to be satisfied. It says, the Pricing field in the corresponding item category of that line item should have the value 'X'. If the value is not X - then the system cannot access the condition records of PR00.

Hope this gives you some clarity about the field Pricing in Item category.

Regarding the determination of Price in your case, you have to find out the reason for that strange situation.

Check the item category determined in the sales order for that line item. Whether it is TAN or your customised one.

PLZ ensure that u have maintained the required setting in the :

Assign Item Category

Jere u maintain the following setting:

SDoc TypeItem Cat GroupUsage+Heigher LeveCat -->item category.

Maintain this n it should work, reward points accordingly.

ZLDT + NORM + blank + blank + ZLTN (TAN copy).

is there any problem with that blanks?

Hi

There is no problem in maintaining these two fields blank Still the item category gets determined.

The pricing relevance field is most of the time used for a BOM, wherin the pricing can be applicable to either the main item or the subitems.
