what do you mean by thread count in XI ?? And in what way it is different from node count ??

Thats a resource you have to each of java process. For each node you have to specify a threads number in order to able parallel process.It depends of your HW memory and CPU capacity. If you dont specify an enough number of threads, your java process can collapse. If you specify a big number of threads, you reserves HW resources for this and if you dont use them, you are wasting them.
