Hi Experts,
Is it possible to setup a filenaming scheme in AS2?
For instance, I have four incoming XML files and each XML file has a unique filename.
201.MessageType1.xml
202.MessageType2.xml
203.MessageType3.xml
204.MessageType4.xml
Basically, my receiver determination will have a condition (eg. Filename=MessageType1, in the case of File adapter) referencing from the filename of the incoming XML file.
Can this be done using the AS2 adapter?
Regards,
Lex
Hi Bhavesh,
You are right, the adapter I am using is Seeburger AS2 adapter. Correct me if I am wrong, but my assumption of the message subject is the filename of the incoming xml file or the filename generated by the sending trading partner.
If so, I would wish to use this message subject as a condition in the interface determination instead of the receiver determination (as advised by Aamir since I have the same receiver system).
Having said, I am not sure how/what to use in setting up the condition wherein I am referencing to the message subject. I saw several contexts such as Filename but my assumption is that the Filename context is only applicable if you are using the File adapter?
I hope this helps to some points I mentioned above.
Thanks!
Regards,
Lex

Well if you need to send all these files to different receivers then you can give condition as you have specified in receiver determination, but if you need to send all the files to the same receiver system but different interfaces(for e.g different IDOC's or RFC etc)then give conditions in interface determination not in receiver determination.
Since AS2 adapter(like all Seeburger adapters) run on Java stack, you won't have any issue in message splitting.
We are handling this in the splitter module of Seeburger coz we have EDI files(not XML) and we branch off the files based upon the business partner number inside it.
Thanx
Aamir

Hello Lex,
Not sure I understood the requirement?
Do you mean to say you wnat to use the message subject to determine the Receiver determination?
if yes, instead of trying to do this at the receiver determination level why dont you create multiple As2 adapter in XI with each of the adapter having its corresponding message subject, and that way you will end up with multiple sender agreements and multiple configurations in XI?

Bhavesh
PS: I am assuming you are using SeeBurger As2 adaper. Also , if I have misunderstood this requirement, would definitely like to hear more.
