IAC from Portal

Hi,

I have an Internet service, when I start the service from SAP it is working fine, but when I call ti from Portal it is failing, could any one tell the reason, or the process to check it ?

Or list the steps required to call an internet service from Portal.

are we supposed to know what IAC or "an internet service" are?
