MAX DB Installation

Hi all,

I have installed MAXDB in my system. It has created a folder "C:\Program Files\sdb" and inside that it has created two folders "MAXDB1" and "programs". But I am not able to open the MAXDB application from anywhere bcoz I dont find anything in Start->Programs or any exe file in the "sdb" folder too? Please help me out to solve this.

To access aMaxDB database, you need some client application program.

As you are running windows, I suggest that you use the DBMGUI and the SQL Studio to manage and access databases. These are separate installation packages.

There are also the command-line based programs dbmcli and sqlcli for these purposes which come with the maxdb package itself , but the GUI programs may be

easier to understand and look better
