Open attachments from SC gives problems

Dear SAP gurus,

We have a problem in SRM.

For the users it's possible to add attachemnts to a SC. When clicking on an attachment will open the attachment in a separate window (after clicking on open in the popup).

But when an Excel file is attached then when the users choses to open the file the a second popup comes up in the new windows which ask for the user to login to the SRM application.

When the users choses to cancel the login then the file will be opened normally.

When the users choses to save the excel file first and then opens it the no login is requested.

Does anyone has an idea what is causing this login popup for the excel attachments? And if it's know do you also know a solution for it?

Full points will be rewarded for the solution.

We are on SRM 4 in Extended Classic mode with ECC 6.

Hi. Are you using a portal? I think this has been fixed in there in the past with Java version.

Ask your basis consultants to check that the Java settings in SAP are compatible with your browser.

This is definitely a program error. You should get solution through OSS support.
