hi all,

when downloading SP's stacks from Market Place it is asking like.

Target Stack :::::::::::: in the drop down menu we have(WHAT SHOULD I GIVE HERE)

13(06/2008)

12(03/2008)

11(12/2007)

Source Stack :::::::::: in the drop down menu we have(WHAT SHOULD I GIVE HERE).

10(07/2007)

09(05/2007)

08(03/2007)

present SP is KB700009,KA700009

now i want to download the SAPKA700010 stack to SAPKA700013

now , my question is what should i give in the Target Stack and what should i give in the Source stack.

is it complusary to apply JAVA PATCHES if we apply ABAP PATCHES.

Target stack is obviously the level you want to take your system to... basically if you're looking to patch your system you must have a reason... either to upgrade functionality or to just raise your system to the latest patch as regular maintenance if thats the case then choose the latest stack available.

Source stack is the current stack on your system basically if you don't know what level are you at the moment just click on stack information and compare your current level (which i presume is 10) with the levels on the stack info page.

Is not necesary to apply java and abap patches at the same time but is highly RECOMMENDED and if i was you i will patch java stack too.

Regards

Juan
