Hi

I am posting stock in the std. plant 0001, getting the error

POSTING ONLY POSSIBLE IN PERIODS 1998/03 AND 1998/02 IN COMPANY CODE 0001

when I am try to close the period using MMPV getting

THE SPECIFIED YEAR 1998 IS NOT THE CURRENT CALENDER YEAR

When I entered the year 2008 month 03

getting

Mode: Check and close period

Period entered (month/year):072008

Incorrect period in control rec. of CoCd 0001; no conversion

The current period (month/year) of the control record is031998

please help me how to post the stock.

Using MMPV you have to close all MM period one by one.

That is, you have to enter 04 /1998. Then 05/1998 and so on. Till you reach the current period.

"THE SPECIFIED YEAR 1998 IS NOT THE CURRENT CALENDER YEAR"

The above message is just a warning so you can ignore it.

You can also use MMPI to directly open the current period. For this the precoditions are

1. No user is using any MM transaction.

2. In your profile maintain (using SU01/SU2/SU3) parameter

MMPI_READ_NOTE with current date (in YYYYMMDD format) as value.

Hi,

Go to MMPV. enter 03/1998 and execute it, Ignore all the warning message, continue this activity till 06/2008, this is some what tidious job as you have to close more than 200 months. The Message you are getting is Warning only ignore that and Go ahead.

Try in Sandpit first

1. Go to OX18, and delete the plants assigned to your CO.Cd and save.

2. Go to OMSY and change the posting period to the one u want and save.

3.Go to OX18 and assign the plants you have deleted in step 1.and save.

Hi Madhubabu,

that message is the warning message only. U can accept that and just Press F8 or execute this step. In the next screen, u will get the message that period is closed. U need to continue till the current period.
