Initial Project balances

Dear Experts,

Can anybody explain me how to load Initial Project Balances?

We have projects operating for last 2 years. Now after implementation we want to take it into SAP. We have to load initial Project Balances, so that we can see Project cost properly.

How do we do it?

what do you mean by project balaces?

is it the budget that is remaining for the project?

Then go to CJ40 to enter the budget that is remaining.

if its out going payments or incoming payemenrts.

I would suggest close everything in the old system and migrate the data to SAP.

Ramesh.

It is regarding actual cost incurred on project.

e.g Project Estimated cost is 90Cr.

In two years actual expense is 60Cr.

Now when we take this project in SAP. Initial Project Balance (cost booked till date) is 60Cr.

How do I do it?

Dear Ramesh,

Thanks for the information.

But KN11N is for Reposting.

That is cost transfer from CO object to onother.

I want to have initial cost on WBS.

I can not repost is from any other object, as no other object is having cost.

I do I book cost initially?

you can do this with two way -

1.Manully - 2.Data migration from last records.

If you are doing manually.do the manually Data Planning(Cost Plan revenue plan etc.)..and complete the activity in sap which have already done manually in business....

2. for data migration consult your ABAPer
