Generally Services without a party are typically used when configuring company-internal processes. Parties (with assigned services) are typically used when configuring cross-company processes.

When we are dealing a scenario which is A2A we will use Service with out paty

When we are dealing a scenario which is B2B we will use Serivce with party.

Hi,

We go for enhanced receiver determination when we have more than one receiver in the target side and we have to determine the receiver dynamically during runtime (wihtout using BPM).

Refer these links:

HI

Service without party:

we go for service without party when we are having A2A communication.

A2A means application to application communication, it is used when two systems in same landscape try to communicate with each other. Systems in same landscape means both the systems are belongs to same organization or a company.

Normally in A2A communication sender and receiver is inside one organization and developer have freedom to define communication rules .

Service with party:

we go for service withparty when we are having B2B communication

B2B means Business to Business communication .It is used when there is exchange of information between two different Parties or companies or landscape.

When two applications in different companies communicates with each other we call it B2B Communication.

in case of B2B every party has it own rules which must be followed if we want to communicate between different organization.

The technical system describes the physical view and the business system the logical view, respectively.

So in most cases you must define both but while a technical system can only link to one WEB AS, more than one business systems can link to the same technical system.

Tech System - Holds the tech details like installation no, db instance.

In the Systems Catalog we define each Technical system in the landscape. The technical System correlates the software to the physical host on which it is installed. The exact settings for each system depend on the system type.

Technical systems are the basis for defining Business Systems. The association between the Technical System and Business System is dependent on the TS type; for instance, in a system based on Web AS (ABAP), each client in the system is a separate Business System.

Technical Systems are of following types

1.)WEBas java,

2.)Standalone JAVA

3.)Third party

4.)Web as ABAP

1) Web AS Java:

Web AS Java systems consist of one or more instances and each instance is installed on a separate host. An instance itself consists of cluster nodes that can communicate with each other.

2.)Standalone Java:

Standalone Java technical systems are standalone Java applications that are installed in a computer system from an administration perspective. They can also be installed as an operating system service or as a daemon

Web AS java belongs to the NetWeaver Comes with both ABAP and Java, Standalone instread comes separate from the netWeaver.

3) Third party technical sytem:

It can be any of the technical sytem. let us say if you want to send a file to R/3, here the file reside in your local system. for that you can define your local system as a third party technical system.

All those machines that comes under non sap, belongs to the third party.

4.)

WEB AS ABAP:

Web AS ABAP technical systems, ranging from any SAP system to an APO server or CRM server, are based on the same Basis Component (BC), which includes the ABAP interpreter, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Workbench, and so on. A dedicated database, which stores most of the data of the BC and the application components, is associated with the system.

Third party technical sytem:

It can be any of the technical sytem. let us say if you want to send a file to R/3, here the file reside in your local system. for that you can define your local system as a third party technical system.

All those machines that comes under non sap, belongs to the third party.

Hi,

1st and Important thing is IDOC adapters are asynchronous do not support synchronous scenario.

2nd Receiver is SAP system so check for the logical system name and tally it with the one specified in SLD

Reward points if helpful.

Thanks.

Hi,

Is your scenario SYNCHRONOUS / ASYNCHRONOUS...

and if you are using AtoA then we will be going with service with out party....

if you are using BtoB then we will be going with party....

a brief about AtoA and BtoB....

A2A is application to application. When two applications in a company communicates with each other we call it an A2A scenario and if its across Companies we call it B2B or buisness to buisness.

Consider an Car Manufacturing Company, it may use XI for integrating its ERP system with say an HR system and so on. As both systems are in the same landscape, it becomes an A2A.

Likewise, the Company might have transactions with say a Glass Manufacturing Unit or organization . When XI is used to Integrate these systems, it becomes a B2B as you use it to integrate 2 different Businesses in different landscapes.

If there are multiple receivers at the target side then we will go with enhanced receiver determination....it can be achieved if you are using XI with SP 14 or above....

Thanks,

Madhu
