purpose of configuration profile?

Hello Guru's,

Will anyone clarify me what is the role and purpose of configuration profile in VC with an example pl, let us take different brands of cars.

The configuration profile links the class (type 300) to the configurable material, and therefore the characteristics as well (since characteristics are already assigned to the class)

Characteristics utilize the classification system in R/3

They are used to define valid combinations of features of products

A class is the location where you allocate all your characteristics

Create Configurable Profile Transaction Code : CU41

Select u2013> Material

Enter Configurable Material u2013 CAR

Variants Profile 300 < Enter

Select Profile -> Click on Profile Detail Icon

Press Class Assignments Button

and Assign.
