Integration (CIF) of dependend demands to APO without planned orders?

Hi,

is there any way we can integrate dependent demands for the components generated by planned and/or process orders without integrating the final products and planned / process orders?

The reason is that we are forecasting on component level only in APO and want to consume the dependent demand with the forecast in APO. But we don't want to integrate all the final products with planned and process orders, but only the components.

We would prefer a standard solution with CIF, but other solutions are fine as well.

I do not think if you can CIF the MRP elements in APO using Standard CIF functionality if you do MRP Planning for Finished Products. Probably you have to develop some kind of CIF enhancement to send them to APO or you have to plan finished products in APO

Try if you can play with consumption, requirements type for planned independent requirements in strategy and strategy group in MRP3 tab of material master.

Hi Johannes,

If you are using DP and want to send the forecast to R/3, it has to be a manual transfer to R/3 by using a transfer profile but not through CIF. You ofcourse need to CIF over the Product and Location.

Your scenario is quite common. We forecast at the assembly level and break it down to component level. You can either use DP BOM or two different planning areas or books as per your design needs. We transfer the component level forecast to R/3. In your transfer profile, you can specify the transfer to be at the component and Location level. Remember that you need to have the components (materials) and locations to be CIFed over to APO before the transfer or it fails.

I want to integrate the dependent demands from R/3 to APO for consumption of fc on component level, not from APO to R/3.
