Netweaver dispatcher problem

Hi Netweaver gurus,

I have installed SAP Netweaver ABAP Trial version on XP. When i start server through sapmmc, after some time dispatcher (disp+work.exe) shutsdown. When i try to connect to server i get the following msg:

partnet '127.0.0.1:sapdp00' not reached.

Computer name is less than 14 characters.

It is highly appriciated, if you guys give me hint how can i resolve this problem.

Hi Saeed,

One thing i don't understand is the below path. The path is showing as "C:\SAP", it should be "C:\usr\sap\<SID>".

B Loading DB library 'C:\SAP\NSP\SYS\exe\run\dbsdbslib.dll' ..

One more thing that you check is the IP address. Make proper entry of your IP address in yout hosts file under C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc

Your system doesn't know which db lib to load. It should read something like 'dbms_type=ada.'

What account are you using to start up the system? If you are logging in as a different user than the one for the install (or sidadm) you are probably missing the environment variables.

Does the dev_disp log contain anything? That file and the dev_w0 file might have a better information than the R3trans output.

The environment variable dbms_type is already set to "ada".

could you please check R3trans -d output, looks like your DB is down.

You can run this from your command line and paste the result.

Hi,

Checkout your dbadaslib.dll or dbsdbslib library release must correspond to the SAP kernel release.

Do have a look at 325402 snote. It may help you.

means env variable dbms_type is not set.... create the enviromental variable with value mss if is SQL, ora for Oracle, ada for SapDB
