Download of Add-on ST-ETP

Hi!

Acording to SAP information the SAP Solution Manager Enterprise Edition can be activated free of charge as of 1.7.2008.

Therefore the Extension Add-on ST-ETP should be downloaded (s. SAP note 1140258).

Does anyone know how to get this Add-on?

If you check ETP - it´s available now (at least I can see it).

CPS is a Java application - you can install it on SolMan but you can also install it anywhere else on a SAP WebAS Java.

Regarding SOLMAN EE I do not have any questions.

Regarding CPS I do not have the license for this. The Adapter for SOLMAN is not free of charge.

Do you have perhaps more information about it?

As far as I know the CPS basic license (only ABAP + Java) is included in a Netweaver license. If you want to schedule operating system related things you need to buy a license for the full version.

Hi Thom & Markus,

I am also involved in installing ST-ETP with BASIS support. I face the following error message when I try to use 'sequencing' functionality of Test Packages as listed in this Tutor file, step 5 of 44.

"Der Aufruf der URL http://abcd317.de.1234.1234.com:8017/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/agstwb_ce wurde abgebrochen, da der entsprechende Service nicht verfügbar ist."

"Der Abbruch trat auf dem System SMn und mit dem Fehlercode 403 und dem Grund Forbidden auf."

"Der ausgewählte virtuelle Host war 0 ."

"Bitte wählen Sie eine gültige URL."

"Fehlercode:ICF-NF-http-c:000-u:SAPSYS-l:D-i:abcd317_SMn_17-v:0-s:403-r:Forbidden"

Note - I have changed the characters in bold above, to protect client identity in URL.

Is there any specific activity to be done in SICF or in one's own host file definition in Windows folder, to overcome this error ?
