Regarding SAP IDES (Training System ) on VAIO

Hi experts,

I am planning to purchase a Sony Vaio CR laptop soon and will be using SAP IDES (Training System ) on it.

I have couple of queries;

u2022 How much memory (RAM and HDD) required for it?

u2022 As I am getting Vista home as OS, will it be OK or I need any other OS?

u2022 Vaio config is T8100 (2.1 Ghtz), 250 HDD , 2 GB RAM , is this is Ok or I should look for any modification for better performance .

Kindly help me, suitable answers will be rewarded.

Hi,

Hardware requirements is looks like ok for training purpose.

Vista home is not supported,You need at least Vista Business Edition or go with Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows 2003 server.

you did not specify the database your are going to install.

following is size of database of ECC 6.0 IDES

MS-SQL :160

ORACLE: 220

MaxDB : 220

DB2 Win:160

further check Note 1013391 - IDES ERP 2005 ECC 6.0 SR2
